Do I need a cookie consent tool AND a compliance scanner?
It depends. A cookie consent tool (CMP) provides and manages the banner on your site. A compliance scanner checks whether that banner is working correctly and whether your site has other issues. If you already use a CMP, a scan can confirm it's configured properly. If you don't have one yet, our scan will tell you whether you need one.
What's the difference between a consent management platform and a compliance scanner?
A consent management platform (CMP) provides a cookie banner and manages visitor consent. A compliance scanner checks your entire website for issues across multiple areas: cookies, accessibility, security, privacy and image copyright. They solve different problems. A CMP is a tool you install on your site. A scanner is a tool you run against your site to find problems.
Can TrustYourWebsite replace Cookiebot?
