European businesses are required to display specific legal information on their websites. In the Netherlands, this means your KVK number and BTW-ID. In Germany and Austria, a full Impressum is mandatory. Missing these identifiers is one of the most common — and most easily avoidable — issues. In Germany, competitors can send Abmahnungen (cease-and-desist letters) for a missing Impressum, with legal fees starting at €500.
